Handmade Damascus TENNESSEAN BOWIE FIGHTER with Fossil  Ivory, Hand Engraving, and Hand File Work by Andrew Lee Adams (Edwardsville, IL)

Handmade "Tennessean" Fighting Bowie by Andrew Lee Adams (Edwardsville, IL), features Ancient Ivory Handles, (Siberia), accented with Hand Engraved Nickel Silver Finger Guard and Butt cap. Handforged Damascus Clip Point Bowie Blade is forged from 15n20 and 5160 Tool Steel and measures 8 7/8". Blade features Tapered Tang Construction and is hand file worked on the top edge of the spine. 

Measures 14 1/8" overall. Although large, the feel and balance is superb making it easy to wield and control. Weighs 12.3 oz (with the sheath 15.9 oz ). Includes a handmade Caiman Skin/Leather Belt Sheath. Sheath has a "belt catch stud", which allowsyou to slide the knife inside yourbelt (without having to loop it on), a common method of wear, especially during the civil war and frontiersmen in the west.. Blade is marked with the maker's initials "AA" on the tang.

Andrew Lee Adams is best known for his engraving and customization work especially on automatic knives and only gets to make a few fixed blades per year, (this piece is a sole authorship and was forged at Bill Miller's Shop in Warsaw, MO). A must have for your collection. Includes a XXX Large custom zippered pouch.
