Early Production (1980) Gerber Mark II Survival Knife.

Introduced in 1966, this classic design proven in Vietnam features a 7" Satin Finished L6  double-edged/double serrated Stainless blade. Black metal non-slip handle features a built in guard with lanyard hole. Overall is 12".

Marked on the tang with the Gerber name and logo. Backside of the tang is serialized (090142), which dates the knife to 1980.  One of the most sought after quality built survival knives ever made. Includes original leather scabbard. USA Made.  Mint in original early white box with orange label on the edge; with early paperwork. Paperwork is dated 10/79., with additional paperwork about the blade steel dated 5/80. Box is in excellent condition also. No finer example out there from 1980.
