OFW (Otto Forster) Genuine BUND German Army Issue Gravity /Paratrooper Knife

Features OD Green Checkered Handles. 4" Razor Sharp Solingen Stainless Blade has the initials of the manufacturer "OMF 78". They were prduced by three companies for the German Army:
-WMF - Worttembergische Metallwarenfabrik
-Carl Eickhorn, Solingen
-OFW - Otto Forster, Witzhelden

Stainless Bail Hook Located at the base of the handle with green lanyard. Blackened Marlin Spike folds completely out and measures 3 3/8". This model is exceptionally well constructed. Operates flawlessly by flipping up and depressing the side lever.  "BUND" is marked on one side of the handle. Measures 6" closed. Easily field stripped like the WWII Model.

Official German Army Issue Surplus. Hard to find now....This is In Very good to excellent overall condition .. Shows light handling. Blade and marlin spike has some light scratches. Functions excellent. The OFW etching is harder to find than the other companies. 78 is the year of issue, making this  46 years old!

If you are unfamilar with these, they don't lock up like a drum, they have lots of blade play in the open position...This is the way they are made and are not a defect.
