RARE! Vintage R. ZaFrilla Spanish Made In/Out Front Opener

A very nice front opener (auto in/auto out), manufactured in Spain with Polished aluminum handles with Black Inlays. Mirror Polished 440 Stainless Spear Point Blade measures 2 7/8" (2 1/2" sharpened edge), and is made by R ZaFrilla Spain. Tang is marked with a "PAT. 96750" "NOX-ALBACETE" Measures 4" closed. 

Very dependable piece. Early production (60's era) no longer manufactured. R. ZaFrilla auto knives command some extremely high prices due to their extreme scarcity; based on this fact this piece is actually a bargain. R. ZaFrilla was actually an import company that put their name on many knives and a few other notable autos including the Florinox (which was a French made knife), and a Begon Knife (another small obscure French made company).

Although nowhere near the quality of the American made F/O models such as Microtech and Benchmade, this is not a low quality junker piece that will fall apart on you . The basic design for most all the f/o models are actually based on this piece. Spanish made autos are extremely rare. They have been illegal in that country for years. Very good condition. Line that appears on the blade from the front opening mechanism and is normal for 60's era front openers.  Includes a custom zippered storage pouch.
