Vintage Schrade Cutlery Company (Large 3 3/4" Closed) Double Button Switchblade with Golden Pearl Celluloid Handles

Largest Double Button Switchblade from Schrade Cut Co; this was made in New York from 1946-1950. Features "Golden Pearl Celluloid" Handles, which is among the more attractive of the celluloid handles.. Double button design that Schrade is famous for. 

Measures 3 3/4" closed. Main Clip Point Blade measures 2 5/8".  Small Pen Blade measures 1 5/8". (Small blade is short). Blades seat below the brass liners.  Small blade has solid lockup with the large blade having some up/down movement when open. Safety works fine on the small blade, but is weak on the large blade. 

Both Blades features excellent switchblade action with the smaller blade having bounce back. Main Blade is clean with light pitting & staining. Small Blade is clean but short from being sharpened.  Handles are in very good condition on both sides with some shrinkage. Overall Condition is "Very Good". . Includes a custom zippered storage pouch. Overall length open (with both blades open) is 7 7/8".

Tang is marked  "SCHRADE WALDEN N.Y." on main blade. Tang of pen Blade is marked "US PATS DEC. 21, 09-SEPT. 13, 10- June 6, 16" Nice piece for your collection. Very clean on the inside.
