Original Vintage 8" Open LATAMA 1950's Italian Classic "Picklock"   with Exceptional Horn and Bayonet Blade

Features beautiful Genuine Buffalo Horn handles with a 3 5/8" mirror polished Bayonet Styled Blade. Tang is marked "LATAMA ITALY" (early tang stamping). The most coveted name in the Vintage Italian knife world, Latama knives command the highest prices and are considerd the finest made of the early Italian Classics.  

 Features Brass lined nickel silver bolsters. Superb opening action via the "drop in kickspring" design, (modern classic springs are part of the backspring and are not removable). Lockup is rock-solid.

Horn Handles are near mint with no pin cracks or other damage. Picklock design; means you must take your index finger and thumb and pull back where the blade locks to unlock it, (modern classics have the swivel bolster release design).

Vintage classics such as these are becoming increasingly hard to obtain, they are heavier constructed with slightly thicker backsprings and blades, with thicker liners. You can feel the weight difference from the current models.. Measures  4 1/4" closed.

A superb example of a vintage Italian classic in very good to excellent condition. Best Looking Vintage Latama out there! Mirror polished blade has some pitting (mainly on the backside).
