Vintage 70's era "SMALL BACK COUNTRY" by Track Knives for Ithaca Gun with Finger Grooved Rosewood Handles and Leather Belt Sheath

Part of Ithaca Gun's "TRACK" series of skinners made for the Gun Company by TRACK Knives of Whitefish, MT in the 70's, by Ray Schmidt. Schmidt  called the knives "Track Knives" and etched his logo, a mountain lion paw print on the blade, and on the back of the sheath; this model was called the "SMALL BACK COUNTRY" and is very similar to Gerber's early skinner models.

Track knives made several models in addition to these and all are considered handmade customs. Measures 8 3/4" Overall and features a wide 3 7/8" 440-C Mirror Polished Stainless Blade 

Nickel silver finger guard  Finger Grooved Rosewood Handles. Ithaca Gun made some fantastic shotguns and is now located in Ohio. Superb quality piece (70's-early 80's). Includes a leather belt sheath Never used or carried. These are hard to find now. Knife is Mint. Sheath has some light Handling  marks. Includes the Box. Extremely rare to find any of these 50 year old models with the box..
