Vintage PRESTO Paratrooper Switchblade w/ Imit Jigged Bone
[PRESTO-BONE]

Vintage PRESTO 1929-1956 (Geo Schrade) Bridgeport, CONN 1940's Paratrooper Switchblade  with Jigged Bone Handles

PRESTO was the name George Schrade (Bridgeport, Conn) used for the majority of their knives. This model is referred to as a Paratrooper Knife. It may or may not be an Official military issue piece. It still adds high "cross over" interest to the collectors of both militaria and automatic knives.

Measures 4 1/8" closed. Overall length open is 7".  The 3" Mirror polished Clip point Blade is marked "PRESTO MADE IN U.S.A." on the front of the tang and "GEO. SCHRADE BRIDGEORT CONN." on the backside. Jigged Bone Handles are very nice with no pin cracks.

Mirror Polished Carbon Steel Blade is very clean. Blade is full and shows staining . Blade seats below the liners. No Bail. Safety works fine. Spring Action is excellent with minimal up and down/side to side blade movement in the open position. Tangs are clean and nicely struck. Inside is clean.

Normally when found this model is heavily worn and in poor condition due to heavy use.. This example would be considered to be Very Good+ . Includes a custom zippered storage pouch. A superb example for your collection.
