Unique, Totally Restored Vintage Early  Schrade Cut Co American Made with Mammoth Ivory.

This is a piece you won't see everyday, because this is the only one like it! Totally restored Schrade Cut Co  (referred to as a large single and made from 1916 to 1946), this one has been painstakingly refurbished to "like new" condition with some outstanding Ancient Mammoth Ivory Handles added..

Tang is marked  "SCHRADE CUT CO WALDEN N.Y.". Back side of tang is marked "US PATS DEC 21 09, SEPT 13, 10 JUNE 6, 16" . Clip point blade measures 3 3/4". Measures 4 7/8" closed. Mammoth Ivory Handles are stunning! (Original Handles were Marine Pearl Celluloid which is the hardest to find, but as you see in the pics totally destroyed..). It took some extra large pieces of Mammoth Ivory to make the handles.

This model was totally stripped down and cleaned and polished from the inside out with stainless pins; we used all the original parts except for the Celluloid Handles.... Safety works fine. Blade seats deep in the handle. Action is superb and fast, with only slight up and down play. Satin Polished blade is full and clean and has no visable pitting or staining.

Overall excellent/near mint condition. Hard to put a price on something like this. These don't come around too often..(This is the first restored early American piece from our custom shop). A truly outstanding piece to be proud of! Includes a custom zippered pouch.
