This unusual piece from G. David called the Laguiole Extra features a mirror polished 3 1/4" long Turkish clip point blade . The gently contoured Mosaic Abalone Shell handles fit your hand comfortably with a top brass bolster. Rectangular release button; Side Opening piece operates automatically via a traditional leaf spring. Accented with Hand File Work on the backspring,liners, and button. Abalone is secured with 24kt gold plated screws.

Measures 4 1/4" closed with brass liners. Often referred to as a classic "Shepherd's Knife", it features very traditional styling from the city of Thiers, the cutlery capitol of France , it makes for a superb addition to your international collection.

The "fly" or "Bee" emblem located on the spine at the top of the bolster is the trademark of quality from this small French company, and are often duplicated on other models, but never matched for quality.
