Early Production (19) Original Gerber COMMAND I Survival Knife.

Features a 5" Satin Finished L6 Tool Steel blade that is sharpened on one side and 2" of serrations on the other side. Black "Armorhide" metal Handles feature a built in finger guard and lanyard hole at the base. Overall is 9". Marked on the tang with the Gerber name and logo, and serialized, (004327),  on the backside of the blade.

 The "Command" series was similar to the Mark I & II and Guardian models but features 2" of serrations on one side of the blade. The blade is extra thick, measuring 1/4" toward the base of the blade. .

Includes a Heavy Duty black leather sheath with a Metal belt/boot clip  .. All original piece in mint/new condition in the original early box and paperwork. A rare find! One of the finest  and earliest examples from the early 80's we have had the pleasure of offering..Box is the very early version, (all white with green sticker) Knife has never been used or carried..No finer example out there.
