Early Production GERBER COMMAND II Survival Knife

The Command II was introduced in 1979 and was disct in 1981. This Early example features a 6 3/4" satin finished dagger style blade, made of L6 Tool Steel. One side of the blade is fully sharpened, the other side (top side) features 2" of serrations. The extra thick spine measures 1/4"  Individually serialized on the tang. (002047). Tang stamp on front side is light.

Black aluminum die cast handle with a powder coat finish and a lanyard hole at the butt.. Overall length is 11 3/4". Includes a high quality black leather belt sheath. (Sheath is mint = (pristine condition). This (along with the Gerber's Mark I & Mark II) are the most sought after American survival knives ever made. New/Old Stock piece in the early style white box with green name label. Paperwork inside is dated 10/79.
