 AA SANDERS Oversized Scale Release Auto with Mosaic Paua Shell, Hand File Work, and Hand Engraved Stainless Bolsters

Unique Custom Handmade "Scale Release" Auto handcrafted by A.A. Sanders of Norman, Oklahoma. A specialist in scale release autos this model is a side opening auto which operates by sliding the handles (scales) (bottom portion) to the side which activates the internal coil spring. Totally discreet auto action.

This special oversized model (measures 8 1/2" overall open), features Mosaic Paua Shell handles (New Zealand).. Mirror Polished Blade measures 3 3/4" features ATS-34 Stainless with Hand File Work on the Spine. Hand File Work is featured on the backspring (both inside and out). Beautiful Hand Engraved 416 stainless bolsters are the icing on the cake! Engraved bolsters are done by Andrew Lee Adams (Edwardsville, IL) and are signed on the spine.  

Measures 4 5/8" closed. Action is Ultra Fast and lockup is rock-solid. Sanders models are no longer made, A.A. (Al) is now deceased and his knives are very collectible. Mint Piece includes a custom zippered pouch.
