Simple to operate, it opens with a flip of your index finger by pressing on the assist, located on the back spine. It opens as fast, or faster than a automatic, but technically it is not a true auto knife. It locks open like a drum via the frame lock, and features a sliding safety to prevent accidental discharge. The pocket clip on the backside is removable. Superb piece for everyday carry.
